Body · a look in liminal.repair
A deep-fried image is a picture that has been saved, re-shared and re-saved so many times that the JPEG compression itself became the style: 8×8 blocks you can count, halos around every edge, colours pushed until skin goes orange. It started as a meme joke and became a look people ask for on purpose.

JPEG Burn does that on purpose and in one pass. It re-encodes your photo through simulated low-quality JPEG rounds, so you get the block grid, the ringing and the colour shift without saving a file twenty times.
Cameras built on it — open one and it loads onto your own photo.
A deep-fried image is one that has been compressed and re-saved so many times that JPEG artefacts — blocks, ringing, colour shifts — dominate the picture. It is a meme aesthetic that people now apply on purpose.
It goes further: the compression is simulated at any strength, and the colour, black level and bleed dials do what generations of re-sharing do — and it exports a clean full-resolution file at the end.
